How I help

Four things people come to me for.

Each one is explained the same way: what it actually is, who it is for, and what I do about it. No jargon. If a word here needs unpacking, it is in the plain-English list.

Retirement income and annuities

What it is
An annuity is a contract with an insurance company. You give them money; they promise to pay you back on a schedule, often for the rest of your life.
Who it is for
People who have saved well but lie awake wondering whether the savings will outlast them, and who would trade some growth for a payment that never stops arriving.
What I do
I show you what a given contract would actually pay, what it costs, and what you give up. I compare several. And if your situation does not call for one, I say so — that happens often.

Medicare

What it is
Original Medicare covers hospital care (Part A) and doctor visits (Part B). It does not cover everything. The rest is filled in by a Medicare Supplement, or replaced by a Medicare Advantage plan (Part C), plus drug coverage (Part D).
Who it is for
Anyone turning 65, retiring later than 65, or staring at a kitchen table covered in identical-looking mail.
What I do
I go through what you take, which doctors you want to keep, and how you travel. Then we pick once, correctly, and I tell you which enrolment deadlines actually bind.

Life insurance

What it is
A policy that pays your family a set amount when you die. Term insurance covers a fixed number of years. Permanent insurance lasts for life and builds cash value.
Who it is for
People with someone who would struggle financially without them — a spouse, a child, a business partner — and people using a policy to pass money on efficiently.
What I do
We work out how much your family would actually need and for how long. Then we find that coverage for the lowest sensible cost. Bigger is not better here.

Estate and legacy planning

What it is
Deciding, in advance and in writing, who receives what — and making sure taxes and paperwork do not take a bite they did not have to.
Who it is for
Families with property, a business, blended families, or anyone who wants their children to inherit clarity instead of an argument.
What I do
I coordinate with your attorney and accountant, check that beneficiary designations match your wishes, and handle the insurance piece of the plan.

Not sure which of these you need?

That is the normal starting point, and it is a perfectly good reason to call. Tell me what is on your mind and we will work out together whether 523 is the right place for it.
